SYLLABUS
Year 6 students have been learning about how places are shaped by their characteristics, how places change, and how change is managed. They explore how transport, tourism, history and community life can influence the character, meaning and use of a place. The activities in this unit support students to investigate how Bendigo Tramways reflects the character of Bendigo and how trams can be used in different ways to support people and connect places. Students then deepen this understanding by considering how similar tram ideas could support their own local community.
